WASHINGTON, D.C. — The nation's children's hospitals are continuing their commitment to community improvement in partnership with the American Hospital Association in support of Community Health Improvement Week, June 5-11, 2022. Community Health Improvement Week highlights the work of communities and population health leaders and their local partners across the country.

During the week, children's hospitals and public health organizations will engage their communities in awareness building by participating in webinars, community tours and sharing information about their health programs.

“The health of children and the communities they live in are priorities for children’s hospitals,” said Amy Knight, president of Children's Hospital Association. “From providing vaccination programs with health departments to standing up mobile clinics for mental health services, children’s hospitals are working outside of their walls to serve their communities. This Community Health Improvement Week, we celebrate the amazing work of children’s hospitals and their partners to enhance the health of the communities they serve.”

The Children’s Hospital Association will host a webinar on Tuesday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. ET titled, “Community Development in Practice,” with Cook Children's Hospital and several other partners. Registration is required.
