Children’s Hospitals Celebrate 2023 Community Health Improvement Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Children’s Hospital Association reaffirms their commitment to support communities during this year’s Community Health Improvement Week, June 12-18. Community Health Improvement Week highlights the work of communities, population health, and their local partners across the country.

Throughout the week, children’s hospitals and public health organizations will engage their communities in awareness-building by participating in educational events, forums, and sharing information about their pediatric health programs.

“Children’s hospitals are pillars of health in their local communities and ensure the well-being of every child is essential to nurture healthy, happy communities,” said Amy Wimpey Knight, president of Children’s Hospital Association. “Children’s hospitals, schools, health departments, community-based organizations, and other local partners regularly team up to support kids’ physical and behavioral health and well-being. This week, we celebrate the work being done across these networks to build communities in which kids and their families thrive.”
