About This Event

Guided by a readiness checklist, understand what steps and resources will prepare clinicians to initiate efforts to support a patient’s emotional health.

This is the second webinar in a four-part Roadmap Emotional Health Learning series brought to you in partnership with the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). Children and adolescents living with chronic conditions navigate extremely challenging issues that can take a psychological and physical toll. ABP, through its Roadmap Project, has developed tools and resources for pediatricians and subspecialists to support the emotional health and resilience of their patients and families.

Learning objectives

  • Describe key steps in building readiness to address the emotional health needs of children with chronic conditions and their families
  • State at least 2 ways you can engage your colleagues and staff to build awareness
  • Understand the benefits of peer-to-peer support for patients with chronic conditions and their families

The Roadmap Project

The Roadmap Project is ABP's national effort to support the resilience and emotional health of pediatric patients with chronic conditions, their families, and the medical teams who care for them. With funding from the ABP Foundation, the project aims to increase awareness for patients, families, and clinicians and provide resources to help.
