Statement by Children’s Hospital Association on ACE Kids Act Hearing in U.S. House of Representatives

WASHINGTON, DC – On behalf of the millions of children and families served by the nation’s children’s hospitals, we applaud the Energy and Commerce Committee, Subcommittee on Health for advancing the ACE Kids Act (H.R. 546) in the House of Representatives. 

We thank ACE Kids Act original cosponsors and champions Reps. Joe Barton and Kathy Castor. We also thank Energy and Commerce Chairman Fred Upton, Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Subcommittee on Health Chairman Joseph Pitts and Ranking Member Gene Green for working with the bill’s original cosponsors to schedule the July 7 hearing.  The hearing represents an important milestone on the bill’s journey toward passage. Reps. Barton and Castor have provided extraordinary leadership in advancing this bipartisan bill supported by more than 200 members of Congress.
