Washington, D.C. — The Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) is proud to announce Melinda Becker Roach as the organization’s new Senior Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs. Roach joins CHA with over 15 years of health policy experience and is an expert in Medicaid and CHIP.
Roach will help lead a team of policy experts focused on providing policy guidance to the administration and Congress on a wide range of children’s health issues. Roach brings policy experience from both inside and outside government. She comes most recently from the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC), a non-partisan legislative branch agency where she led a broad range of policy initiatives related to children’s behavioral health and school-based services, among other topics. She also served in the Center for Best Practices at the National Governors Association, where she advised governors and other state leaders on Medicaid and insurance-related issues.
“We are excited to welcome Melinda to CHA to lead some of our most important work right now. We are all in on protecting and strengthening children’s access to care for families nationwide, and I am confident that Melinda’s expertise and impressive knowledge base will be an asset to our work,” said CHA’s Vice President of Policy, Aimee Ossman.
