CHA Launches New Campaign to ‘Put Kids First’ in Health Care Policy

The digital campaign advocates for robust federal funding for children’s health.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) launched a new targeted awareness campaign, called “Put Kids First,” to bring pediatric-specific expertise to the forefront of national policy. As part of CHA’s new brand direction, the digital campaign aims to center children’s health in every conversation about care, policy, and progress.

“To ensure a better future for us all, children’s health needs to be at the center of federal policy and funding priorities. Strong investment in research and innovation is the key to providing the most advanced care possible for every child, but funding and policies are falling short, making it a constant battle for children’s hospitals and staff to do what they do best: protect children’s health,” said Children’s Hospital Association CEO Matthew Cook. “Our ‘Put Kids First’ campaign calls out the gaps in federal support for children’s health to open the conversation with people who can fill them. We look forward to continuing our advocacy with federal lawmakers to make children’s health a national priority.”

The campaign features national data from our children’s hospitals to illustrate the gap between funding children’s hospitals receive and the care they provide.

The campaign will run throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area until the end of the year with digital, social media, and out-of-home advertising showcasing the impact that children’s hospitals have on pediatric patients and their families, while also elevating the issues facing children’s health care today.
