WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) announced John A. Mikesic as the new chief supply chain officer. Mikesic will lead CHA’s supply chain strategy, including cost savings on a broad portfolio of products and services, such as pediatric medical and surgical supplies, equipment, and business services. He is an accomplished supply chain leader with extensive experience in strategic initiatives across both group purchasing organizations (GPOs) and academic medical centers.

“CHA is doing great work to drive innovation, and I am excited to support our members as they work to deliver the best care possible to children,” said Mikesic. “My goal is to work with our members and partners to reduce costs for every hospital we work with. Children's hospitals are keeping the next generation healthy, and I look forward to supporting their work.”

John Mikesic has over two decades of experience in supply chain management, including management for multiple level one trauma centers and large-scale academic health systems. He will work alongside CHA partners Vizient and the Pediatric Alliance Executive Committee to build supply chain quality and integrity.

“John will help our members achieve meaningful cost savings across a wide range of products and services,” said CHA CEO Matthew Cook. “We are thrilled to welcome John to the executive leadership team and look forward to his collaboration with our talented group of CHA leaders.”
