WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) announced Blake Schofield as General Counsel. Schofield comes to CHA with a wealth of experience from a career serving hospitals and health systems, both in private practice and in-house roles.

“We are delighted to bring Blake on as our General Counsel to support our growing team and expanding advocacy,” said Children’s Hospital President and CEO Matthew Cook. “Blake brings nearly two decades of experience representing hospitals and health centers, and we look forward to working with him to protect and expand health care for children nationwide.”

Hailing from Florida, where he most recently represented Lee Health, Schofield joins CHA’s Washington, D.C. office. Schofield received his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

“It is an honor to be part of such a dedicated team of advocates and to contribute to CHA’s inspiring mission,” said Blake Schofield. “CHA’s goals are personal for me as a father of two incredible teenagers. I know just how critical it is that children receive high-quality care so they can thrive as they grow older. I’ve served health systems and hospitals throughout my career, and I’m excited to leverage that experience in service of pediatric health advocacy.”
