Children's Hospitals Congratulate President Biden, Vice President Harris

CHA extends best wishes to President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and their teams.

WASHINGTON, DC — On behalf of our nation's children's hospitals and the millions of families we serve, the Children's Hospital Association (CHA) extends best wishes to President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and their team as they take the helm of the U.S. government.

"Our warm congratulations to President Biden and Vice President Harris on their historic inaugurations," says Mark Wietecha, CEO of CHA. "These are trying times for our country, and the health and safety of children and families is a shared priority as we combat the COVID-19 pandemic and its related challenges. We are eager to work with the Biden Administration on the critical issue of ensuring children have the care they need to become strong adults, and on sustaining the nation's pediatric safety net serving all children."

Children's hospitals are calling for immediate attention to keeping Medicaid strong for kids, addressing the growing mental health crisis in children across the nation, and clarifying the roadmap for vaccine testing and distribution for children as among the priorities addressing the short- and long-term impact of the pandemic.
