Children’s Hospital Association Launches Special Photo Series

A series of photos highlights the children’s hospitals’ ability to innovate and transform health care delivery.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) debuts Stronger Together - Children’s Hospitals During COVID-19, a special photo series portraying the response of children’s hospitals and their patients to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Children’s hospitals have had to adapt to and overcome numerous challenges during the pandemic. This series of nearly 70 photographs and stories highlight the children’s hospitals’ ability to innovate and transform health care delivery for their most vulnerable patients. From testing via outdoor drive-thru clinics to nurses sewing masks to meet PPE demand, children’s hospitals made the changes necessary to continue delivering the highest quality of pediatric care in the face of adversity.

“What these special images represent is resilience—the resilience of patients and families and their health care providers during the most stressful and difficult of times,” said Amy Knight, president of CHA. “In the face of crisis and adversity, children’s hospitals worked together, leveraging their expertise and strength of collective experience to care of our patients and to support our broader communities’ responses.”
