On June 5, CHA joined allied organizations in sending a letter to the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health leadership requesting additional pediatric language be included within the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act. The letter highlights the need to include additional experts within the HHS National Advisory Committee on Children and to authorize the Children’s Preparedness Unit (CPU) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The health subcommittee held a hearing on the bill on June 15. PAHPA is set to expire on September 30.
