About This Event

Nov. 3-5, children’s hospitals’ leaders will gather in Chula Vista, California, to learn, inspire, and share their experiences guiding projects that are producing change in children’s health care. Submit a proposal by April 21 to showcase your hospital’s strategic work, leadership practices, and innovative solutions at this event. Your experience could change how other children's hospitals approach their most difficult challenges.

The Annual Leadership Conference is an exclusive member event, and the premier conference for children's hospital executive, administrative, strategy, finance, policy, nursing, and physician leaders.

Submit a proposal demonstrating:

Navigating the policy environment

  • Adapting policy, advocacy, and storytelling approaches in an evolving policy environment.
  • Emphasizing the specialized care and community benefit children’s hospitals provide within local, state, and regional markets.
  • Educating and collaborating with legislators, payers, and the community to positively impact child health and wellbeing.

Evolving strategies to meet the changing workforce landscape

  • Adapting workforce recruitment and engagement strategies to meet the needs and expectations of a diverse, multigenerational workforce.
  • Evolving care and staffing models to improve outcomes and promote health equity among employees, caregivers, patients, and families.
  • Investing in and leveraging automation and AI to create efficiencies that address workforce gaps. Forward-looking succession planning and leadership development.

Operational excellence and financial sustainability

  • Deploying strategies to enhance revenue and reduce costs.
  • Collaborating across departments to translate organizational strategy into improved operational and financial performance.
  • Developing and leveraging data systems to support operational and financial excellence.
  • Cultivating sustainable, diverse funding streams to support a behavioral health system of care.
