Community Health Affinity Group

In 2021, CHA continued to grow its affinity group for children’s hospital leaders in community health and community benefit. The group’s participants represent strategy, program development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting roles within their institution.

  • Timely presentations deliver peer and industry expertise.
    • Eight Community Health Conversations and two virtual two-day meetings covered topics such as community development, community health needs assessment strategy, mental and behavioral health, school health, measures, COVID vaccination programs and more.
  • Affinity Group network solidifies ad-hoc professional relationships.
    • In addition to participant-fostered connections, CHA facilitated targeted pairings between affinity group hospitals and offered profile data for benchmarking and understanding.
  • Peer exchange becomes critical support during unprecedented community health crisis.
    • The group’s closed discussion list covered 15+ topics of interest, including: strategies for the community health needs assessment, youth engagement programs, gun violence interventions and COVID response.
  • On demand library provides key resources when they are needed.
    • A document library includes Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) and Implementation Strategy Reports, “How To” guides and expert guidance on COVID-19 and Community Benefit.
