Increase Inpatient Sepsis Recognition Using Data Science, Clinical Informatics and Quality Improvement

  1. Adapt a data-driven sepsis prediction model to their institution’s patient population. 
  2. Describe how a team can work together to implement clinical informatics tools through a quality improvement lens. 
  3. Use common patient safety tools and in situ simulation to refine new tools prior to implementation.  
  4. Apply rapid-cycle quality improvement concepts when launching new tools and processes.
