An Integrated National Approach to Improving Sepsis Care in Scotland

The Scottish Patient Safety Programme (SPSP) – a UK National Health Service (NHS) initiative – aims to improve the safety and reliability of healthcare and reduce harm. Join SPSP staff to learn how a successful adult sepsis program, which features Early Warning Systems, safety briefs, and huddles throughout Scotland, coordination with the Scottish Antimicrobial Prescribing Group (SAPG) to monitor antibiotic resistance patterns, partnership with the national ambulance service, public awareness campaigns, and a national dashboard, is being adapted for the pediatric environment.
