CHA President and CEO Reaffirms Medicaid Support

CHA continues its support for a program that cares for nearly half of children nationwide.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Children’s Hospital Association President and CEO Matthew Cook released the following statement:

“Since its founding, Children’s Hospital Association has been committed to making sure children can access high-quality pediatric care. This commitment means protecting access to Medicaid, which nearly half of U.S. children—many in rural towns and military-connected families—rely on for health care. Children’s hospitals play a critical role in the health care of our nation’s children, and a strong Medicaid program makes that care possible. Proposals that seek to cut, reduce, or make access to health care more challenging would have a tremendous impact on all children, families, and communities.”
