About This Event

Join Children’s Hospital Association for the SCOPE Fall 2025 Workshop. This event will be held on Oct. 23-24 at the Loews Chicago O'Hare Hotel. The workshop will feature a variety of sessions covering key aspects of standardizing care to improve outcomes in pediatric end-stage kidney disease.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Discuss the ongoing progress of the collaborative, including efforts in infection mitigation and bundle compliance.
  • Explore multidisciplinary team-oriented quality improvement approaches to enhance bundle compliance, reduce infections, and boost staff engagement.
  • Identify ways to engage with innovation and research groups to advance patient care.
  • Learn about current nephrology research, including research related to dialysis care within the collaborative.
  • Compare and contrast strategies for treating complicated peritoneal dialysis (PD) and hemodialysis (HD) clinical patient cases.
  • Discover and apply tools and resources for pediatric patients on dialysis, their families, and SCOPE teams.

The workshop includes an introduction to the SCOPE Collaborative model, clinical bundles, data for key measures, and resources for successful implementation. There will be updates from innovation and research workgroups on upcoming publications and research, as well as breakout sessions for focused discussions. The workshop will also feature case studies in PD and HD patient care management and strategies for sustaining improvement in practices.
