About This Event

Health care systems are increasingly screening for and responding to social needs such as housing instability and food and energy insecurity in an effort to improve health outcomes and promote health equity. While addressing immediate needs is a first step, opportunities exist to expand these strategies to better address such chronic needs through partnerships with community agencies and other resources that support economic stability.

Learn how both Boston Children’s and Nationwide Children’s are working with local partners to enhance economic stability for the families they serve. The session will highlight programs focused on workforce development, financial mentoring and access to tax credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit. Presenters will share the initiatives launched and outcomes achieved in their communities.
