Throughout the Reimagining Quality Webinar Series, hospital leaders gathered to discuss the future of quality and how pediatric providers can move forward. Focusing on the next generation of quality requires expanding the focus beyond safety into areas such as equity, patient centeredness, efficiency and more.

As identified in this series, priorities include:

  1. Continued investment in the dimensions of quality beyond safety, with priority on measuring and improving clinical outcomes.
  2. Partnerships with public health departments to ensure they have the infrastructure and resources to help kids and families stay healthy.
  3. Increased resources and attention to improving behavioral health outcomes and ascribe to them the same importance as physical health outcomes.
  4. Reduce disparities in health outcomes; measure disparities and partner with sectors in the community to assess solutions.

With these priorities at the center of quality, pediatric providers can build a shared vision of improvement in child health.
