The Children's Hospital Association (CHA) submitted a written statement in response to the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee hearing, "Advancing the Next Generation of America's Health Care Workforce," held Feb. 24.

The statement highlights unique challenges facing the pediatric workforce, including shortages across pediatric specialties and the impacts to children's access to care. The statement also outlines congressional actions and policy solutions to strengthen the pediatric workforce pipeline, including support for pediatric training programs and policies that improve recruitment and retention of pediatric clinicians.
