The Children's Hospital Association (CHA) has submitted a letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services outlining our initial thoughts on H.R. 1 mitigation. A proposed rule may be announced soon, and CHA wanted to submit our feedback ahead of this action.

CHA's H.R. 1 workgroup informed these comments and supported immediate action. The workgroup agreed to focus the letter on our highest priority asks — recommendations on the application of the Medicare limit for state-directed payments to mitigate the impact on children.

CHA will have more opportunities to provide comments after the release of the proposed rule and further details.

CHA will be sharing talking points on this letter to share with your members of Congress. If you have feedback to inform future next steps, please contact Aimee Ossman.
