Children's Hospital Association submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on the Medicare Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) proposed rule, specifically the request for information on future nutrition and wellness measures.

The letter urges CMS to engage pediatric stakeholders early in the development process to ensure emerging measures are meaningful, feasible, and reflective of the needs of patients of all ages, including children, in the event state Medicaid programs or other payers choose to adopt them for their enrollees.
