The Children's Hospital Association (CHA) submitted a written statement in response to the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee hearing, “Lowering Health Care Costs for All Americans: An Examination of the U.S. Provider Landscape," held March 18.
The statement highlights ways the Committee and Congress can proactively prioritize children’s health more broadly by protecting and strengthening Medicaid, boosting the pediatric workforce, addressing the youth mental health crisis and elevating healthy kids. It also raises concerns about harmful policies, like site neutrality, and their impact on access to care for children, especially children with medical complexities.
