Meet Greta: A Gillette Children's Champion

During Family Advocacy Day, Greta and her family will discuss her health journey, Gillette Children’s role in providing her with necessary care, and why we must invest in the future of patients like Greta.

Greta was injured at birth and eventually diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

“Everyone's lives changed,” says Sarah, Greta’s mother. “We entered a new world of appointments, advocacy, and finding solutions for challenges ahead.”

Starting with pediatric rehabilitation, Greta’s care then went to movement clinic for ongoing appointments and Botox. She also has been referred to several other departments for various checkups.

Gillette Children’s gives us hope and resources,” says Sarah. “Greta has made relationships with the team here and has built great connections.”

When Greta needs specialized equipment or seating, as well as minor surgeries, she is cared for by providers at Gillette Children’s.

Today, Greta is doing well and has a great outlook on life. She loves listening to music.
