In 2024, Children's Hospital Association (CHA) will continue to offer its affinity group for children’s hospital leaders in community health and community benefit. The group’s participants represent strategy, program development, implementation, evaluation and reporting roles within their institution.

2023 Value

  • Timely presentations deliver peer and industry expertise. Five community health conversations and two in-person two-day meetings covered topics such as mental and behavioral health, school health, measures, food insecurity and team structure and staffing.
  • Affinity group network solidifies ad-hoc professional relationships. In addition to participant-fostered connections, CHA facilitated targeted pairings between affinity group hospitals and opportunities for in-depth collaboration on key topics.
  • Peer exchange via discussion list and on demand library provide key resources when they are needed. A document library includes Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) and implementation strategy reports, and discussion notes and recorded presentations.
