The Children's Hospital Association hosts advocacy days in Washington, D.C. for patient families and other children’s hospital stakeholders.
Advocacy day programs often feature educational briefings, remarks from lawmakers and Washington insiders, opportunities to network among fellow patient families and peers at other children’s hospitals, and a chance to carry forward a unified message to Congress in support of children's health.

2020 Speak Now for Kids Family Advocacy Day
June 17-18, 2020
The Speak Now for Kids Family Advocacy Day program provides children's hospital patients and families the opportunity to advocate on behalf of their hospitals and current child health issues.
The event features a family-friendly program tailored to accommodate the unique needs of patients and families.
While in Washington, D.C., families learn how to become effective citizen advocates and meet with lawmakers to share their stories alongside children's hospital government relations experts.
Patients and families also work with their hospitals and CHA to garner local and national media attention before, during and after the event and participate in year-round activities in support of the ongoing Speak Now for Kids campaign efforts and their respective children’s hospitals.
Event registration will open in January 2020.
