Health Equity Integration Throughout a Health Care System

Through the Health Equity Integration Project, Children’s Mercy Kansas City implemented a novel approach to the consideration of health equity perspectives (e.g., disparities, diversity and inclusion, cultural competency, social determinants of health) throughout a hospital system. Content experts from the hospital’s Office of Equity & Diversity partnered with teams in the Improvement Center to help embed and automate health equity concepts in their standard work. Hear about the lessons they have learned and how you can apply similar approaches in your own workplace.
