Children's hospitals and 48 child patients participated in the 13th annual Speak Now for Kids Family Advocacy Day (FAD) to advocate on behalf of children's health. This effort came at a crucial time in the health care debate, and CHA thanks all patient families and hospitals that participated.

Speaking directly with lawmakers, hospitals and patient families from across the country leveraged FAD to promote protecting Medicaid for kids. The event also included a sightseeing bus tour of Washington, D.C., an interactive advocate training for all ages, and a patriotic-themed dinner celebration, including live music and other family-friendly entertainment.
Family journeys to Washington, D.C. and their lawmaker visits garnered national attention, and there were numerous television news segments, regional articles and radio broadcasts. Read news release.
