Children's Hospital-based Accountable Care: A National Survey

Heightened by the Affordable Care Act, many children’s hospitals are increasing their role and accountability by taking on various levels of risk in the provision of pediatric care across the continuum.

This study examines 13 pediatric hospitals’ accountable care organization (ACO) or ACO-like organizations in the key areas of payer and provider contracting, prepping for data-driven population health management, bearing risk and more. The study wraps up with a special focus on lessons learned from ACO executives.
