The Children’s Hospital Association organized a letter from military organization to the Senate and House Appropriations Committees urging appropriators to protect this important program and to provide $300 million in funding for FY 2017.
The letter was sent to Chairman Blunt, Ranking Member Murray, Chairman Cole and Ranking Member DeLauro.
Appropriate funding for this program will ensure children in this country continue to have access to the world-class doctors they need and deserve for their care. Many military medical education training programs team with children’s hospitals to provide rotations and training for hundreds of in-house military physicians in pediatric and pediatric specialty care.
