About This Event

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia instituted routine behavioral health screening of adolescents in the emergency department after a three-year federal grant to develop and test the process. We co-designed the Behavioral Health Screening ED version (BHS-ED) with a psychologist who also designed a primary care and school-based version, and partnered with a third-party company, MDLogix, to provide a software platform that can be accessed from any web-enabled device. We will review the origins, evolution, and current state of this program, including the most recent efforts to solidify after-visit communication with physical health and mental health providers.
