Six national children's organizations joined with CHA to submit comments to CMS on the 2021 proposed Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters
(NBPP). The annual NBPP sets standards for qualified health plans sold through the Exchanges and has implications for the broader private insurance market. The joint comment letter focuses on ways that the 2021 NBPP can be strengthened to ensure that access to timely and appropriate treatment for children, particularly those with serious, chronic or complex conditions, is as seamless as possible.
The American Academy of Pediatrics, Children's Defense Fund, Family Voices, First Focus on Children, Georgetown University Center for Children and Families and National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners joined with CHA on the comment letter.
