CHA and the American Academy of Pediatrics are circulating a letter to appropriators requesting $20 million for the Pediatric Disaster Care Pilot Program. The Pediatric Disaster Care Pilot Program currently funds two Pediatric Disaster Care Centers of Excellence (CoEs). The goal of the program is to address appropriate planning and response capabilities to support the specific needs of children during public health emergencies and disasters.
