Pediatric Prehospital Sepsis Screening and Management

Between one-third and one-half of sepsis patients, arrive to the Emergency Department via Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Sepsis recognition and treatment of those patients in the prehospital setting, may directly affect care in the Emergency Department and overall patient outcomes.

Presented in partnership with Sepsis Alliance, Join Dr. Lynn Babcock and Dr. Kathleen Brown, as they share how pediatric patients can be integrated into prehospital care for sepsis through the development of a sepsis protocol and prehospital screening tool. Learn how EMS strategies to target sepsis recognition, can aide the healthcare team in improving timeliness of care and be an effective approach to identifying and rapidly treating the early stages of sepsis.

This webinar is open to CHA member hospitals and pediatric sepsis clinicians in community hospitals focused on improving patient outcomes. There is no fee to attend.
